MSF Basic RiderCourse

The Basic Ridercourse (BRC)  is the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's introductory riding course. It is paced for beginners and satisfies the state requirements to obtain a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license.

This course is intended to for new riders who have:

  • Never been on a motorcycle
  • Riders who have some experience but no training
  • Long time (or long since) riders who want to refresh their basic riding skills

We provide everything you need to begin riding!

Your Basic RiderCourse tuition includes:

  • Use of our training bikes
  • Helmet and gloves to use for the weekend
  • Lunch on the first range day of class (Prescott Only), as well as bottled water to drink while on the range

All you need to bring is a smile and a willingness to start riding with the fundamental skills!

Upon successful completion of the BRC you are issued a certificate of completion that allows you to obtain a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license and a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Course Completion Card that may entitle you to a discount on your motorcycle insurance.

The BRC gives you an opportunity to learn proper methods at a measured pace in non-threatening, controlled conditions, guided by experienced RiderCoaches who have been trained and certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation to teach this curriculum.

Smaller Classes Mean More Riding Time!

Each class consists of no more than 8-10 students to ensure maximum personalized coaching and direction. The class requires approximately 5 hours of classroom and 11 hours of on-range riding time, which usually is spread over a 2 day format.  However, we also offer classes in a less aggressive 3-day format which allows more individual coaching on the range.

Private lessons are also available.  Contact the office for details.
